Where Popl is strong.
Popl is built for event marketers at larger companies. It sells event lead capture that includes badge scanning, and enterprise programmes with a long list of integrations. If you run many large shows and want one vendor across them, it is designed for that.
Where 1Namecard is different.
- Included: Prices you can read. Starter is free and Team is EUR 88 per month for the whole organisation. Business is the only plan you ask us about.
- Included: A funnel by rep, placement or card, so a sales leader sees who brings back leads and which badge, banner or leaflet works.
- Included: A specific CRM answer. HubSpot gets contacts, companies, deals, notes and meetings, one way, and only for visitors who consented unless you change that.
- Included: Capture on the visitor's own phone. No scanner or hardware to hire, and the exact consent wording and its version are stored with every lead.
- Included: Real meeting slots. Visitors book a time at your stand or a call, in their own time zone, and a booked slot cannot be double-booked.
What 1Namecard does not have yet.
- Not included: SAML single sign-on and SCIM provisioning. Sign-in with Google or Microsoft Entra ID works today.
- Not included: A SOC 2 report. There is none.
- Not included: A native connection to a CRM other than HubSpot. Others connect through signed webhooks or the REST API.
- Not included: Reading organiser badges. Visitors scan a QR code with their own phone instead.
- Not included: NFC cards from us. Any NFC tag that opens a link works with a card, and tags from us are coming.
Which one fits.
If you need to scan the badges of a large show and report to an events team, Popl or the organiser's own scanner is the tool for that. If you want to know which reps and placements bring conversations, and send them to HubSpot with consent attached, 1Namecard is. The two can run together at one show. Starter is free and takes about 2 minutes to set up.
Questions people ask.
Does 1Namecard scan badges like Popl?
No. 1Namecard does not read organiser badges. Visitors scan a QR code with their own phone, which opens a consent form. Keep the organiser's scanner if you have one.
Does 1Namecard publish its prices?
Yes. Starter is free, Team is EUR 88 per month for the whole organisation, and Business is priced to your needs. Popl's pages ask for a quote for team plans. Check Popl's current pricing.
Can I use 1Namecard and Popl at the same show?
Yes. They capture different things. A scanner records registered visitors, and 1Namecard records the conversations at your stand with their placement and rep.
