In short

1Namecard gives a software company a card for each rep and one short link for each placement: slide deck, talk, badge or roll-up. Each lead gets a score, where a meeting request alone is worth 30 points, and reaches HubSpot with a deal. Team is EUR 88 per month for the organisation, with 200 short links, 50 cards and 25 users.

Sound familiar?

  • Caution: You have a small stand, two speaking slots and a badge on every rep.
  • Caution: The talk was well attended, but you cannot say how many leads it produced.
  • Caution: The scanner list arrives a week later.
  • Caution: Your ops team asks which placement earned the pipeline, and the answer is a guess.

What changes for you.

  • One link per placement.

Make a short link for the last slide of each deck, the end of each talk, the badge and the banner. Each one opens a rep's card with the placement attached, so the analytics show scans, unique visitors, devices and countries for each. The UTM builder adds source, medium and campaign.

  • Scores with reasons.

A meeting request is worth 30 points, a saved contact 20 and a marketing opt-in 10. Hot is 60 or more. Each lead lists the reasons, so the rep who calls first knows why (see lead scoring).

  • Meetings at the stand and after the show.

Visitors choose Meet at the stand and pick a slot on the days a rep is there. For a few weeks after the show, cards show a "Missed us at" prompt with your event's name and Book a call, using the rep's weekly hours.

  • HubSpot with deals.

Contacts, companies, notes and meetings go to HubSpot. A deal is created when a meeting is requested or a lead reaches qualified, and moves as the stage moves. There is one deal per company and event.

  • Ops can reach everything.

The REST API and signed webhooks carry leads, meetings and the funnel. The MCP server lets an assistant answer "which placement brought the most meetings?" with a token that can be read-only.

  • A funnel by rep and by placement.

See scans, saves, leads and meetings for each rep and each placement, for the whole event, and print the report for the post-show review.

A three-day conference with a talk.

  1. Step 1.

    The week before, the placements.

You create five short links: keynote deck, workshop deck, badge, banner and e-mail signature. Each points at a rep's card with its own placement.

  2. Step 2.

    Day one, 11:00, the talk.

The last slide shows the keynote link and a QR code made from it. Scans arrive on that link within minutes and you watch them on the live board.

  3. Step 3.

    Day two, the stand.

A visitor saves a rep's contact and requests a Thursday slot. The lead scores hot, Telegram tells the rep, and HubSpot gets a contact, a company and a deal.

  4. Step 4.

    Day three, the review.

The funnel by placement shows the keynote deck brought more meetings than the banner. You print the report for the team.

  5. Step 5.

    Next week, the follow-up.

Ops asks the assistant which leads are still untouched. Reps call the ones with a Due today next action and book the rest through Book a call.

What it does not do.

  • Not included: HubSpot is the only native CRM today. Salesforce, Pipedrive, Dynamics 365 and Zoho are in development (see the roadmap). Others connect through signed webhooks or the API.
  • Not included: HubSpot sync is one way, from 1Namecard to HubSpot, and has been tested against a mock of HubSpot's API, not a live portal. Try it with a test portal before the show.
  • Not included: QR files in the app are for cards. QR codes for short links are in development, so you make a QR code from the link with your own tool.
  • Not included: It does not read organiser badges or enrich leads with data from other sources. A score comes only from what the visitor did on your card.

What b2b saas at conferences ask.

Can a slide carry a placement link?

Yes. Put the short link, or a QR code you make from it, on the slide. Visitors who arrive through it are counted for that placement.

Does every lead create a deal in HubSpot?

No. A deal is created when a meeting is requested or when a lead reaches qualified. There is one deal per company and event.

Can our ops team query the data?

Yes. The REST API, signed webhooks and the MCP server with twelve tools give access to leads, meetings and the funnel, with read-only tokens if you prefer.

Can we meet visitors after the show?

Yes. Cards offer Book a call from the rep's weekly hours, with both time zones shown when they differ.

Try it at your next event.
