In short

Your public cards will show your logo, your colour and typeface, your consent wording and up to four extra links.

Steps checked

  1. Step 1.

    Open Settings, then Branding.

  2. Step 2.

Under Logo, choose a file with Upload a logo (it reads Replace the logo once you have one) and press Upload logo.

  3. Step 3.

SVG is best. It is checked strictly: scripts and anything that is not drawing are refused, not repaired, with a message such as "That SVG cannot be used" and the reason. PNG and JPEG are resized to fit 512 px. The file must be under 2 MB.

Set the look and the content.

  1. Step 1.

Under Look, set Accent colour with the picker or by typing a hex code such as #2148D9. The page says "Readable." or "Too hard to read." with the contrast. The accent needs 4.5 to 1 against the card colour, and button text needs 4.5 to 1 on the accent.

  2. Step 2.

Choose Card colour: Light or Dark. Choose Top of the card: Flat, or Photo backdrop, which blurs the person's own photo behind their name.

  3. Step 3.

Pick a Typeface from the seven pairs. Each is shown with a sample line, and Geist is the default.

  4. Step 4.

Under Card content, switch Show the event block and Show booking on or off.

  5. Step 5.

Write a Legal line if you want one: a short notice at the foot of every card, up to 200 characters.

  6. Step 6.

Write the Consent text, 10 to 300 characters. It sits next to the checkbox on your lead form. End it with the words privacy notice to turn them into the link.

  7. Step 7.

Add up to four Extra links. Each needs a label of up to 40 characters and a full http or https address. They follow the Call, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, Email and Website buttons.

  8. Step 8.

Optionally write a Bio template. It starts the bio of every new card. You can use {firstName}, {lastName}, {name}, {title}, {company} and {location}.

  9. Step 9.

Press Save branding. The message reads "Saved. Your cards now use the new look."

Every time you change the Consent text, the version goes up by one. The page shows "This is version 1; saving this change makes it version 2." Every lead stores the exact wording and version it saw, so earlier leads keep their own text.

Preview and reset.

The preview beside the form uses your real card components with your unsaved choices. On a narrow screen press Preview. Reset to defaults puts colour, card colour, switches, links and wording back to the 1Namecard defaults after you confirm "Reset all branding to the defaults?". Your logo stays. Changed consent wording still gets a new version.

Common questions.

Does branding change the admin?

No. The admin keeps the 1Namecard look. Branding changes only your public cards and the QR codes you download.

Why is my brand colour refused?

It is too light or too dark for the card colour you chose. The message says, for example, that the colour is too light for a light card and shows the contrast against the 4.5 to 1 minimum. Choose a darker shade, or switch the card colour.

Do earlier leads change when I edit the consent text?

No. Each lead keeps the wording and the version it was shown. Only new leads get the new text.
