Cards and branding
Create a card and publish it.
- Who can do this
- Owners and admins create and publish cards. Members edit their own cards.
- Where in the app
- Cards, then New card
In short
You will have a published card with a photo and an owner, on an address you can rename without breaking printed QR codes.
Steps checked
Create the card.
- Step 1.
Open Cards and press New card.
- Step 2.
Under Who, fill in First name, Last name, Job title, One-line bio (up to 200 characters) and Location. Display name and Languages are optional. A blank Display name uses the first and last name.
- Step 3.
Under Contact, fill in Email, Mobile with the country code, Telegram handle without the @, and LinkedIn, such as
in/jane-doe. You can also paste the profile address. Office line and WhatsApp number are optional. A blank WhatsApp number uses the mobile number. - Step 4.
Under Address of the card, leave Slug blank to use first initial plus last name, or type your own: 2 to 40 lowercase letters, digits or hyphens.
- Step 5.
Choose an Owner. The owner can edit the card and sees its leads. Keep No owner yet if the person has no login yet.
- Step 6.
Tick Publish now, or leave it off to review the card first. Press Create card.
Add a photo and publish.
- Step 1.
In the Photo panel press Choose photo. The picture is cropped to a square and resized to 800 px in your browser. Press Upload photo. You can use JPEG, PNG or WebP.
- Step 2.
Check the details, then open Publishing and press Publish card. The message reads "Published." followed by the address.
- Step 3.
Press Preview the public card to see what visitors see.
- Step 4.
To take the card offline, press Unpublish. The page and its QR code then show not found.
- Step 5.
To hand the card to someone else, change the Owner panel and press Save owner.
Rename the address safely.
Change Slug and press Save changes. The app adds a redirect from the old address to the new one, so printed QR codes keep working. The message says so. The redirect is a short link in Redirects (the short links page), so it counts towards your short link limit. If it could not be made, the message says that instead.
Common messages: "Another card already uses this slug", "This slug is reserved" and "This slug is already a short link (see Redirects)". At your limit you see "Your plan allows 3 cards. Contact us to move to a bigger plan."
Common questions.
Can a member publish their own card?
No. A member can edit their own card, but only an admin sets the address, the owner and when the card goes live.
Do I have to fill in Telegram and LinkedIn?
Yes, on this form both are required, along with the bio and location. The setup wizard asks for fewer details, and you can complete the rest on the card page later.
What happens to leads if I delete a card?
Nothing is lost. The card goes offline and its leads and meeting requests stay. Restore the card from the Deleted list and it comes back as a draft.
